1. 30 children with different disabilities stayed at the Guest House, they passed psychosomatic rehabilitation. – International Fund “ Open Society – Georgia “ – financed the Project “Summer Camp at the sea – Tskhumi “(code ED/11), submitted by ”Hera. The total amount of the Project was $ 5000”. The Project was implemented in July- August, 2001 . Disabled children and the children of internally displaced disabled persons (30 children in all, including Abkhazia and South Ossetia) had a rest and took a course of medical treatment on psycho rehabilitation in Educational Health-Improving Camp “ Tskhumi.
2. In accordance with agreement № 2, dated November 6, 2001, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection of Georgia in cooperation with the Union “Hera” provided funding for the project “Establishment of the regional organizations for social rehabilitation of the disabled persons”. Total cost – 6000 $. Under the project, regional organizations were established in the following regions: Samegrelo-Upper Svanety (Poti); Imereti (Kutaisi); Adjara (Batumi); East Georgia (Tbilisi). Disabled persons have been trained and the information materials (booklets) related to the legal issues have been published. The project was executed from December, 2001 till May 2002.
3. The United Employment Fund of Georgia” on the basis of the agreement № 34, dated August 22, 2001, has approved the project “Establishment of the wholesale and retail base for fruits and vegetables production and realization”. Project total cost-12000$. During the project 32 displaced persons with different disabilities were employed at the processing plant and engaged in trading. The project was executed from 1st August 2001 till 1st April 2002.
4. “The United Employment Fund of Georgia” based on the agreement № 35, dated August 8, 2001, has provided funding for the project “The professional training of the displaced persons with visual and hearing disabilities to increase their employment opportunities”. The project budget was 7200$. The training was provided by the experienced psychologist and then they took and passed free computer learning courses. 28 displaced persons have acquired necessary skills to work with computer. The project was executed from 1st September 2001 till 1st February 2002.
5. In accordance with the agreement # 106/II–5 - of 5 June 2002, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection of Georgia” provided funding for the program “Social and medical rehabilitation of the displaced persons with different disabilities”. The cost of this project was 25000 $. With the purpose of successful implementation of the program the Union “Hera” concluded agreements with the following NGO-s: The Abkhazian Association for the Support of Invalids “Samurzakano”; Kodoris Kheoba Union for the Rehabilitation of Disabled “Tanadgoma”; The Abkhazian invalids support Foundation “Aisi”. Under the project it was assumed to provide different medical services for the disabled people (1200 persons in all) including dentists, orthopedic and laboratory research. The period of performance: June, 2002 – September, 2003.
6. Georgian Foundation of Social Insurance has approved the project “Social Rehabilitation for Invalid Displaced Persons”. The IDP have passed free computer courses, Chess teaching courses and goblin teaching courses. Period of performance: from September 2003 till June 2004.
7. The United Nations Development Program , “Social rehabilitation of displaced persons with disabilities”. The Project implementation began on 2nd of May 2004, and continued till December 31, 2004. In three regions of Georgia (Poti, Kutaisi, Tbilisi) it was delivered free of charge computer courses, conflict logy, psychology courses and goblin teaching courses. Over 100 beneficiaries were involved in this project. Various booklets were issued. The total budget was $16000. Project Number: 00012709.
8. Project Title: “Supporting employment of temporarily displaced people with disabilities in bee-keeping” under the support of the Danish Refugee Council. The project is being successfully implemented in the Tskaltubo mountainous district, Imereti region. Project implementation began on 2nd of April 2005, is continuing till December 31, 2005. Total number of beneficiaries employed under the project:12.
9. Project Title: “Establishing and functioning of information-consulting service centers for disabled people in the cities Gali and Tbilisi” was supported by the Open Society Georgia. (Code INTOS /04/06–14274). The project was implemented in the city of Gali located on the territory of Abkhazia. The implementation of the project started from 10th June, 2006 and finished on the 10th November, 2006. Total budget – 9700 USD.
10. The Union “Hera” was awarded a tender for procurement services announced by the Georgian State Agency for Social Support and Employment under the framework of the “2006 State Program for supporting social integration and promoting better involvement of disabled people into the society”, sub-program “Social integration of disabled people”. The budget was 62 565 GEL. Agreement (№36/P) for the above tender was concluded on 21st August, 2006. Total number of beneficiaries of the project was 33 persons. The project was completed on 31st December, 2006.
11. “Sound recording studio establishment for supporting cultural heritage of ethnic minorities living in Georgia (Abkhazians, Ossetians)”. The Project was supported by the “Open Society Institute - Budapest” (Code: AC/N/01/08 – 15507. Project Period: 14 February 2008 – 14 February 2009. Total budget: $ 18 450. The aim of the project was audio books creation in Abkhazian and Ossetian and recording them on CD disks. Distribution of audio books was done with the help of partner organizations throughout the territory of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
12. The project `Your Life, Your Job, Your Future` is financed by the fund `Open Society - Georgia Foundation`, the project won in the competition announced by World Bank. ( Code: IntCSS/04/09-16269). Timetable: 01.06.09-01.12.09. The aims of the project are as follows: creating informational and consultative centre in the union `Hera` central office (Tbilisi, Gurjaani #22); integration of socially unprotected young people (internally displaced persons and people with disabilities) into society; giving free computer courses; arranging training courses in marketing, management, psychology, conflict resolution and jurisprudence. The number of beneficiaries amounts to 35.
13. Union `Hera` has participated and won in the 2009 state program’s blind social integration subprogram of the tender `Promoting social integration of disabled people, age-old, children deprived of family care` announced by Health and Social Programs Agency. (Agreement # 7შ9991155509ჰ/1 1 July 2009 ). The main goal of the program is recording readings of fiction and non-fiction on CDs, making 15 copies and distributing in libraries and specialized educational institutions throughout regions of Georgia. Timetable: 01.07.09 – 31.12.09.
14. Tbilisi City Hall Program Title: “Rapprochement of the Georgian, Abkhazian and Ossetian blind disabled persons in entire Georgia and their integration into society”. Agreement # 011011/10/186 dated March 26, 1010 Period: 26 March 2010 - 26 December 2010 Object of the agreement – Record audio books in Georgian, Abkhazian and on Ossetian languages in quantities of 500 pieces. Dissemination of finished products to various educational institutions and governmental organizations, as well as dissemination of the audio books with the help of partner organizations and volunteers on the territory of de facto Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Total budget – 22 000 GEL.
15. A Grant agreement with Eurasia Partnership Foundation was concluded on the 24 th November of 2011 (G11-4005/653). The title of the project “Social enterprise –Sound ¬¬recording studio ‘Hera”. The given project was supported by Eurasia Partnership Foundation from the sources of Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA). During the period of the grant realization twelve audio books for children and eighteen for the adults were issued. Total budget – 12 000 GEL.
16. British Embassy to Tbilisi. Project title: “Multiethnic and cultural variety of our Georgia”. The duration of the project was from 01.05.2012 to 31.03.2013. The project aims to issue literary works of contemporary Georgian, Abkhazian and Ossetian writers in the form of audio books. The budget of the project amounted up to 18 160 pounds sterling . The resulting output was 1,500 pieces of audio books that were donated to the Parliament of Georgia , National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, public blind people school # 202; Sukhumi State University ; Tbilisi State University, Department of the South Ossetian Temporary Administration and the British Embassy to Georgia .
17. Civil Institutionalism development fund. Project title: “Social enterprise – service center “Hera”. The duration of the project was from 13.10.2012 to 01.10.2013. The project budget was 5000 euros . The service of the social enterprise for persons with disabilities is free of charge. According to the project blind Georgian speaking beneficiaries with the help of voice synthesizer took classes and passed a computer course. These courses helped them to find a job.
18. The Center for the Development of Strategic Research of Georgia funded the Project "Studio Hera and modern bazaar" (contract # 1.2.1.3/2013/12) The main objective of the project is to achieve economic stability, diversity of goals in the segment and marketing strategy focused on it. 19. May 30, 2014 on behalf of the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia-II International Charitable Foundation, presented the Union "Hera" a diploma for the project "Audio multi books for Georgian Diaspora" as the winner in the international scientific competition for a grant of 2014. According to the project 400 units of audio and multi books will be produced , which will later be transferred to the Georgian diaspora, for the younger generation.
20. Embassy of the Republic of Poland to Georgia, according to the contract № TBI 6..2014 of June 2, 2014 financed the project "Organization of an online library for people with disabilities." The term of the Project is 02.06. 2014 - 12.25.2014. The basic principle of this project is the principle of equal access to works of literature for persons with disabilities (blind, people moving on wheelchairs, people confined to bed, etc.., That has always been existed.
21.March 12, 2015 - the contract (contract number P51 of 12.05.2015g.) between the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and the Abkhazian Blind and Deaf-and- Dumb Union "Hera" was concluded. The subject of the contract is the project "Support for the Accessibility of the Blind and Persons with Disabilities to the Sources of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Georgia" submitted by the Union "Hera". The contract is valid till September 3, 2015. As a result of the project 300 audio books will be issued which will be then distributed free of charge to various general and specialized organizations.
22. On April 20, through a simplified electronic tender, the contract (SPA 150 010 028) was concluded between the Department of Probation and the Execution of Punishment of Georgia and the Union of the Abkhazian Blinds and Deaf-Dumbs “Hera”. The subject of the agreements is to purchase audio books for the needs of the department. In accordance with the tender documentation, they have got 42 audio books, 252 units in number, from the union “Hera”.
23. June 3, 2015 an Agreement was concluded between the Office of Public Defender and Abkhazian Blinds and Deaf-Dumbs Union “Hera”.
The subject of the contract is to protect the rights and freedoms of the citizens of Georgia in the light of the report of the Public Defender for 2014 (in respect of the rights and freedoms of persons with disabilities), its scoring in the Georgian language and the subsequent record on CD. In all there were 500 units of audio books, the texts of which were read on the sound track by the People's Artist of Georgia Nugzar Kurashvili, the winner of the State Prize and the Prize named after Kote Marjanishvili.
