The Informational-Analytical Department of Union "Hera”
Due to hard economic and social standards of living the members ot regional organizations of Union "Hera” suffer from the lack of primitive living conditions and necessary information. Therefore they are brought in on informational vacuum.
The aim of the informational-analitical department of Union "Hera” is to create informational-consulting centers in Tbilisi. The information collected in the center will be revised and dessiminated to the regional organization of Union "Hera”, and it will enable disabled persons to get an information about their rights and facilites, vacant job positions, sales of domestic products, modern techniques, production of orgricultural products, legistative and normative acts, about the usage of modern standards and informational sources. Based on above-mentioned the aim of Union "Hera” is to get in touch with international, non-governmental, governmental organizations, embassies so that to participate in defferent programs, competitions, grants held by these organizations.
At the disposal of informationa-analytical department is the computer class and the room equipped with informational facilities phone, fax, Xerox, networks and ets). The members of Union "Hera” visually impaired and dull hearing people have an opportunity to use office equipment to gain an experience to work on computers. In 2001-2002 special courses for studing computer programs were held as a result 28 visually impaired and dull hearing persons studied to work on computers.
The head of informational-analytical department is Valeri Chichua.
Cultural-educational Department of Union "Hera”
The aim of cultural-educational department is to find and manifest intelligent persons in various branches of art among disabled people. There were created Georgian assembly of national songs and national musical instruments classes to study, wood engreving, gobelin, old Georgian ornamental techniques. The project was financed by the women’s Association "Tanadgoma”. We obtained machine tools, strings, defferent inventory. We took part in different conserts and exebitions.
The head of cultural-educational department is Mamuka Kartozia born in 1971. He is a dull hearing, displaced from Abkhazia. He is a designer. He participated in different competitions and exebitions, where his works deserved great responses.
The Humanitarian assistance of the Union "Hera”
Coordinator of humanitarian activities is Khalichava Zurabi.
Except the enumerated programms, the main occupation of the Union "Hera” is Humanitarian Assistance. "Hera” concluded the contracts with international and local organizations such as:

4. Foundation "Caunterparty”
5. Foundation "Umcor”
6. Foundation "ExGeorgia”
7. Foundation "World vision International”

10. Abkhazian humanitarian office
11. Joint stock company "Madly”
12. The state house of Tbilisi
The Blind and Deaf-and-Dumb persons who entered the Union "Hera” recived different humanitarian aid including medicine, cecond hand clothes and food supplies. (soaps, booth paste and brushes, towels).
In 2003, Union "Hera” distributed stationery for bounded set of Union members, with He support of international non-governmental organization "UMCOR”.
-with the support of local TV "Imedi” was distributed foods to I group veteran disabled persons (20)
-Free medical examination was offered to 50 of disabled persons and free medical operation to 6 disabled persons, in the center of ophthalmology in CT. Tbilisi;
-In April 2003, Was established Youth department of Union "Hera”, where the manager is volunteer Tamuna Chikhladze. The main objective of the department is the integration ante 20 years invalid persons into the society.
-In September, 2003, two of the members of Union "Hera” took part in DIP Georgian champion in chess and shashi. It must be noted, that the forth place have got II group invalid Zurab Khalichava, who was taken in the Georgian brigade.
In 2003, Abkhazian blind and deaf-and-dumb Union "Hera” created Georgian disabled persons and veterans non-governmental organization’s Coalition.
